Terms & Conditions for Scalefest Tickets and ticket-holders

The following are the rules and terms that govern Scalefest tickets. 

Refunds 

Scalefest will only offer a refund if the Scalefest event is unreasonably rescheduled or cancelled, or to the extent otherwise required by law. Scalefest will not offer a refund if you change your mind or for any other personal circumstances. 

If Scalefest is cancelled, rescheduled, relocated or to any other extent required by law, all liability is limited to the amount for which the Scalefest ticket was purchased (including any fees or charges). Proof of purchase will be required for any refund. Unless required by law, Scalefest will not be liable for any other losses incurred by you as a result of Scalefest being cancelled, rescheduled or relocated, including any travel and accommodation expenses. 

Conditions of Entry 

If you arrive after the start of the event, you will still be able to attend Scalefest, however, you may be missing out on parts of the event. You may be denied entry into or removed from Scalefest where Scalefest has reasonable grounds to do so, such as if you are intoxicated or under the influence of illicit drugs, or if you are inappropriately attired or adversely affect the enjoyment of other attendees of Scalefest. 

Collection and Delivery of Tickets 

Tickets are only valid if they are purchased through the Scalefest website. You must allow adequate time for registration emails to arrive and be sure to check your spam folder. 

Tickets are valid for the ticket holder only. Name changes on tickets are allowable up to 48 hours prior the start of the event. You must contact [email protected] to request a name change on a ticket. 

Scalefest reserves the right to charge an additional $100 administration fee where registrations change significantly from time of original booking.

Pricing and Payment 

All event ticket prices are quoted in US Dollars, and excludes fees that are calculated on a per transaction basis. Per transaction fees are added to the final total of your order. 

Your ticket confirmation email is also an invoice. Bookings are subject to availability. 

Lost or Stolen Tickets 

Where tickets are lost, stolen, misplaced or destroyed, Scalefest may charge an administrative fee to issue a replacement and may require proof of identity and purchase, prior to issuing a replacement. 

In the event that your Scalefest ticket is duplicated, Scalefest reserves the right to request proof of identity and/or proof of purchase. Duplicate ticket holders will be refused entry to Scalefest. 

Limitation of Liability 

To the extent permitted by New South Wales and Australian federal law, Scalefest is not liable for any loss, damages, injury, delays, additional expenses or inconvenience arising as a result of your attendance or non-attendance at Scalefest. Where liability cannot be excluded or modified by law, the liability of Scalefest is limited to the minimum permitted by law. 

Risk 

You enter Scalefest at your own risk and understand that attendance at Scalefest could include risk of injury or damage or loss of property. By attending Scalefest you accept the risk of damage and loss (including property damage/loss, personal injury, consequential and economic damages) however so arising. All advice provided at Scalefest is of a general nature and may or may not be suitable to your business and your personal circumstance. You should always seek a professional opinion before acting on any advice.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username).

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Refund Policy

In the event that you are unable to attend Scalefest, a credit will be available to be used for any future Scalefest tickets (within the next 24 months period). This postponement of attendance must be made no later than 7 days prior to the event or program. Cancellation less than 7 days prior or non–attendance to the event, regardless of the reason, leads to forfeiture of your ticket.

If the event is cancelled or postponed your ticket is automatically valid for the new date.

All refunds must be approved by Scalefest prior to being confirmed and will be on a case-by-case basis. All refunds will not include the booking fee paid upon purchase. If you have any questions about our refund policy, please email [email protected]
